Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the Tomato for Mac app for Apple Mac Computers, together with any related services operated by Ameliia Shekikhacheva (collectively, the “Application”). Ameliia Shekikhacheva is hereby referred to as the “Service Provider”.
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
The Application does not collect, log, or transmit any personal information to the Service Provider or any third party when you download and use it. Registration is not required.
To power its focus tracking features, the Application locally records usage data about which other applications are active on your Mac during your focus sessions (such as app name and time spent). This data is used solely to generate your personal focus history, streaks, and session statistics directly on your device. This app-usage data is stored 100% locally on your Mac, is never uploaded to any server or cloud service, and is never shared with the Service Provider or any third party. You remain in full control of this data, and it stays private to your device at all times.
If the Application is used with an active internet connection, technical protocol data (such as your ephemeral IP address) may be transmitted to facilitate network connectivity (for example, checking for updates), but this data is not retained or used for tracking.
Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the device?
This Application does not collect precise information about the location of your device.
Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?
Since all app-usage and focus session data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted anywhere, no data is shared with third parties. The Service Provider has no access to, and cannot view, your locally stored usage data.
What are my opt-out rights?
Since the Application does not transmit personal or usage information off your device, uninstalling it removes the Application and all locally stored data from your device, including your app-usage history, focus session records, and streaks.
If you contact the Service Provider directly or voluntarily provide information by other means, you may request deletion of that information by contacting [email protected].
Children
The Application is not intended for children under 16 years of age, or such higher age as required by applicable law. The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit data from children or market to them. Since the Application does not transmit personal information off the device through normal use, children’s data is not at risk from use of the Application alone. If you voluntarily provide personal information through other means and are under 16 years of age, your parent or guardian must provide consent on your behalf where permitted by law.
Security
Because the Application stores all app-usage and focus data locally on your device and does not transmit it to the Service Provider or any third party, the risk of exposure of this data is minimal and is governed by your device’s own security protections (such as macOS system security and FileVault, if enabled). However, no security system is completely secure. The Service Provider implements reasonable safeguards to protect any systems or data it does hold.
Data Breach Notification
Since the Application does not transmit personal or usage data through normal use, the risk of a data breach affecting your personal data on the Service Provider’s side is minimal. If a breach occurs involving any data you have voluntarily provided directly to the Service Provider, the Service Provider will notify you as required by applicable law.
Changes
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy with an effective date. Where required by law, the Service Provider will seek your consent to material changes before they take effect.

Your Consent
If you voluntarily provide information to the Service Provider and processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
